Nelli Santha fine arts

I have been interested in drawing, colours, and imaging three-dimensional shapes in two dimensions since my childhood. I made my first copy after Raphael’s Esterházy Madonna with crayons as a pupil. My enthusiasm for fine arts is still continuing to this day.

I got my art restorer degree (specialised in painting conservation) at the Hungarian University of Fine Arts in June 2020. During my studies I got insight into the painting techniques of old masters. In addition, I was so lucky that I won an Erasmus + scholarship in 2016 and I could spend an academic year at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Venezia, in Venice, Italy. In my free time I sat in the streets of Venice and I made a few paintings about the buildings and streets. Meanwhile I was painting, lots of art loving people stopped by me and admired my work. Local people told me that my choice of theme reminded them of Canaletto. That time I spent there reinforced my belief that people nowadays are still fond of pieces of art that are traditional and made by the observation of the reality.

As a professional artist I want to make not only my own pieces of art, but also copies of great masters that can be wonderful decorations in living rooms of houses and flats. The time needed to paint a copy always depends on how rich it is in details, the size of it and the painting technique that has to be applied. An excellent copy can only be made by the help of a high resolution photo of the painting.
